Since 2002, our InChoir program has invited the community to step inside the rehearsal process and sing alongside members of the Chorale as Kathy explores choral masterworks from the inside out. It is one of the hallmarks of the Minnesota Chorale — the deliberate blurring of the line between artist and audience, the belief that choral music belongs to everyone who wants to get close to it. This season, we open with an InChoir experience focusing on Maurice Duruflé's Requiem, Opus 9 — one of the most sublime settings of the Mass for the Dead. Luminous, transcendent, and deeply human, this is a timeless musical journey of darkness and light based on traditional Gregorian Chant. Scores are provided and everyone is welcome.
