Program: Manuel de Falla: Ritual Fire Dance; Beau Chiasson: On Becoming; Brian Balmages: Opening Night; Georges Bizet: Les Toréadors; Arturo Márquez: Danzón No. 2; Ludwig van Beethoven: Ode to Joy from Symphony No. 9, “Choral” Performers: Gustavo Dudamel (conductor); Jhoanna Sierralta (assistant conductor); Musicians of YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles); Rising Stars of Strings; Big Noise; David Munn (presenter) Gustavo Dudamel leads musicians from YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles) and Scotland’s Big Noise, a music education and social change program that works intensively with children, young people, and families within targeted communities, in a family concert program of high-energy selections. Cellist and music educator David Munn serves as host, introducing the musicians and bringing the audience closer to the magic of live music.
