The Friends of the Gamelan invite you to a performance from their Javanese Ensemble to introduce the community to the joy of playing gamelan music and experience the rich musical heritage of Indonesia. Incorporated in 1980, today, Friends of the Gamelan includes two ensembles with individually distinct sets of gamelan instruments, each respectively dedicated to Javanese and Balinese gamelan music and dance.
