The University Wind Ensemble presents an afternoon of lively, yet meditative works with themes of motion. The program includes Bakhari S. Nokuri’s Afrospire , a composition that encourages us to keep going through its Afro-Cuban rhythms and grooves, and Omar Thomas’ Forward/Still , a reflection on uncertainty, resilience, and the idea that standing still is not an option. Malcolm Arnold’s Four Scottish Dances completes the program with traits derived from Scottish folk music. Free admission
