Bradley Greenwald and friends return for another round of songs and stories–this time from the evocative and somewhat curious threesome of Clara Schumann, her husband Robert Schumann, and their young friend and protégé, Johannes Brahms. You’ll hear “straight shots” of their songs from mezzo Clara Osowski, tenor Felix Aguilar Tomlinson and pianist Sonja Thompson; and some “cocktails” mixed by jazz and blues giants Thomasina Petrus and Thom West, the vibrant Duo CORDA (cellist Jacqueline Ultan and guitarist Pavel Jany), and rock band Annie and the Bang Bang. Bradley Greenwald hosts, performing a few surprises and sharing stories. About Bradley Greenwald Bradley Greenwald is a singer, actor, writer and director. For over thirty years he has performed with almost every theater, dance company and music ensemble in the Twin Cities. He adapted Madeleine L’Engle’s novel A Wrinkle in Time into a libretto for Libby Larsen’s opera; wrote the book and lyrics for C. (adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac), and Johnny Skeeky, or The Remedy for Everything, (adaptation of the Puccini comedy, with Steven Epp), both produced by Theater Latté Da. Bradley has curated and written narratives for innovative spoken word/music concerts for Open Eye Theater, Music Saint Croix, St. Cloud Symphony, Oratorio Society of Minnesota and Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh. He is the recipient of a Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowship in music, the McKnight Fellowship for Theater Artists, and the Ivey Award. Bradley is Co-coordinator of MacPhail’s Prelude: Singer-Actor Lab for high school students. About Felix Aguilar Tomlinson Felix Aguilar Tomlinson is a Mexican-American lyric tenor from Minneapolis, MN. Felix has performed extensively in Boston, New York, and Minnesota, tackling dramatically-demanding roles with a signature sweetness, authenticity, and charisma. He completed his BM in Voice Performance and GPD in Opera Performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. He has lived the past two years in central New York, spending two summers as an Apprentice Artist with Chautauqua Opera, and two seasons as a Resident Artist with Tri-Cities Opera. Felix recently moved back home to the Twin Cities, kicking this next chapter off premiering the role of Ricky in Johnny Skeeky; or, the Remedy for Everythingwith Theater Latté Da.
