Accordo is a string ensemble composed of present and former principal string players of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and Minnesota Orchestra. The group has been named “Best Chamber Ensemble” by the Minneapolis Star Tribune and “the dream team of chamber music” by Minnesota Monthly. Accordo has been performing since 2008 to consistently well sold and enthusiastic audiences.

Border CrosSing is an award-winning, Minnesota-based, choral arts nonprofit. Our mission is to cross borders through choral music. Founded in 2017, Border CrosSing envisions a fundamental change in classical music culture, so that every concert, every audience, and the artists on stage truly reflect the cultural reality in which we live. Our work provides opportunities for people from different communities to understand each other in new ways through our multilingual Puentes concert series; Heritage Choir, our inclusive community chorus; education outreach with local schools; studio albums Un milagro de fe and Aquí te amo; and vocal sheet music publications on Graphite Marketplace. The Border CrosSing Education Outreach Ensemble is composed of members from the Border CrosSing professional roster, all accomplished soloists, teaching artists, composers and performers based in Minnesota. Originally developed as part of MPR’s Class Notes program, Border CrosSing’s Education Outreach Ensemble has performed for thousands of students across the state. With the support of Chorus America Music Education Partnership Grants, the program has grown into ¡Dale! School Residency Program, where the ensemble brings Latin American music across styles and traditions to classroom settings and engages students directly in the learning and performing process. Originally from Colombia, Natalia Romero Arbeláez is a passionate performer, music educator, and community builder. She brings energy and a deep love of inclusive music-making to every group she leads. Natalia is passionate about access, and singer input & ownership in her choirs and performing practices. In addition to her work in the classroom, Natalia serves as the Education & Community Engagement Director for Border CrosSing, where she’s developed the ¡Dale! School Residency Program and founded Heritage Choir, a joyful and welcoming bilingual community choir. Natalia holds a Bachelor of Music from St. Olaf College and a Master of Music Education from the University of Saint Thomas.

Tina Park, Ji Young Lee, Horacio Nuguid and Anton Melnichenko Dr. Tina Park is a pianist, educator, and artistic director, and a recipient of the Creative Individual Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. She currently serves as Assistant Professor of Piano at Bethel University in Minnesota and is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Bethel University Summer Piano Academy. Recognized for her refined artistry and forward-thinking vision, Dr. Park is active on international stages and is deeply committed to interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative music education, establishing a distinctive voice in today’s classical music landscape. Dr. Park began her formal musical training at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where she completed thirteen years of intensive study from pre-college through her undergraduate degree. She later moved to the United States to pursue advanced studies, earning a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Notre Dame, followed by a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, where she studied under Professor Alexander Braginsky. An active soloist and collaborative artist, Dr. Park has performed in major venues across the United States and China. While maintaining a strong foundation in traditional repertoire, she is equally dedicated to exploring contemporary works and cross-cultural expression. Her artistic practice frequently integrates music with visual art, movement, and other disciplines, creating immersive and multidimensional performance experiences. A central embodiment of her artistic vision is the interdisciplinary project Piano in Motion: Where Sound Becomes Movement and Color. This innovative production combines piano performance with dance, live painting, and the Chinese pipa, transforming sound into visual and physical expression. Supported by the Minnesota State Arts Board, the project has received wide acclaim for its originality and artistic impact. Dr. Park was invited to present this work at the Minnesota Music Teachers Association Conference, where she shared her insights in a session titled Creative Concert Programming: Utilizing Interdisciplinary Art Forms in Piano in Motion: Where Sound Becomes Movement and Color, contributing to the advancement of creative concert design and music education. The Shin Kim Piano Trio consisting of family members Kyu-Young Kim on violin, Pitnarry Shin on cello, and Orion Kim on piano started during the early days of the COVID lockdown in the family living room when Orion was fourteen years old. During the pandemic, their online video performances were enjoyed by the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and Bakken Ensemble virtual audiences, and their informal performances on their front stoop in Saint Paul and for house concerts in the Twin Cities have brought much joy to many classical music lovers. In 2024, they were featured in Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with both the Willmar Symphony Orchestra and the Mississippi Valley Orchestra. Orion is now a sophomore in college, studying piano and history at Yale University, and the trio continues to play together at every opportunity. He is a top prizewinner of the Schubert Club’s Young Artists Competition and the Thursday Musical Young Artists Competition, and has attended chamber music festivals at Yellowbarn, Bowdoin and in Lucca, Italy. His concerto performances include the Kenwood, Golden Valley, and Dakota Valley Orchestras. Kyu-Young Kim is the Principal Violin of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and served as its Artistic Director from 2013-2024. Pitnarry Shin is a cellist of the Minnesota Orchestra and serves as Artistic Director and cellist of the Bakken Ensemble. Texu Kim’s chamber piece “Bab Meogeossoh” was commissioned by the Schubert Club for the Shin Kim Piano Trio as a special gift to honor Kyu-Young Kim’s tenure as Artistic Director of the SPCO. The Shin Kim Trio thanks Ruth and John Huss and Joseph Tashjian and Kay Savik for their friendship and incredible generosity in funding the commission. Misha Amory is a founding member of the Brentano String Quartet, with a distinguished career in performance and recording. Winner of the 1991 Naumburg Viola Award, Misha Amory has performed with orchestras in the United States and Europe, and has given recitals in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Boston, Houston, and Washington, D.C. He has performed at the Marlboro Music Festival and the Vancouver and Seattle chamber music festivals, as well as with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and Boston Chamber Music Society. He released a recording of the Hindemith sonatas on the Musical Heritage Society label in 1993. Mr. Amory is a founding member of the Brentano String Quartet, which won the inaugural Cleveland Quartet Award and the 1995 Naumburg Chamber Music
