GRAMMY Award-winning Takács Quartet returns to BroadStage alongside visionary pianist Jeremy Denk , continuing a beloved tradition as one of our audience’s most cherished ensembles. Hailed as “one of the world’s greatest string quartets” of the past 50 years, the Takács Quartet has become a season highlight, with each appearance deepening their connection to BroadStage audiences. Denk is “a pianist you want to hear no matter what he performs” (The New York Times), bringing dazzling virtuosity and musical intelligence to every performance. Together, these classical music powerhouses deliver an evening of chamber music at its most compelling, performing Haydn’s brilliant String Quartet in C major, Op. 20, No. 2 , Mendelssohn’s impassioned String Quartet No. 6 in F minor, Op. 80 , and culminating in Franck’s sweeping Piano Quintet in F minor with Denk at the keyboard.
