REGISTER FOR UPDATES Join Boston Lyric Opera at the historic Charlestown Navy Yard for a memorable afternoon of music, maritime history, and stunning Boston Harbor views. From the lawn of the 1805 Commandant's house, BLO's musicians will perform an open-air concert of fan-favorite opera and musical theater repertoire, all in sight of the U.S.S. Constitution and the U.S.S. Cassin Young. Experience songs from across centuries as we celebrate the founding of the Charlestown Navy Yard, with special events happening throughout the weekend. Featured Performers: Juliette Kaoudji , mezzo-soprano Zizhao Wang , bass-baritone Ji Yung Lee , pianist Learn more about the National Parks of Boston, the Charlestown Navy Yard, and surrounding attractions: https://www.nps.gov/bost/learn/historyculture/cny.htm This program is free and recommended for audiences of all ages. Playbills with texts and English translations of the multilingual program will be provided on site. Street Stage is supported by the Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture and the City of Boston through the Neighborhood and Downtown Activation Grant. STREET STAGE: WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO! Arrival Early arrivals are encouraged. BLO staff will be on site to provide programs and answer questions. You are welcome to come and go during the concert. Seating Space on the grass is first come, first served. You are welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair. A limited number of lawn chairs and benches will be available on site. Please prioritize seating for anyone with accessibility needs. Accessibility There are wheelchair accessible paved paths surrounding the performance site. While all of the Charlestown Navy Yard is wheelchair accessible, not all of the historic warships accommodate wheelchair access. If you need any special accommodation, including access to parking closer to the performance site, please email boxoffice@blo.org at least one week before the performance.
